Executive Overview

The Digital Recording Appliance (DRA) is designed to provide the Department of Corrections with a scalable and manageable platform to record any or all calls on the Inmate Phone System. This system makes use of the latest technology and features to provide flexibility and consistency of recording, monitoring and recording verification.

The Digital Recorder significantly reduces operational costs through its centralized architecture to record and monitor calls. Although controllable at the institution level, the systems can be controlled through central or institutional parameters and controls. DRA provides reports at both the institution and centralized levels. It can output recorded conversations to any removable media and can validate recorded files. Using industry standard servers and Intel communications platform, DRA guarantees DOC the performance and feature enhancements offered by this vibrant industry.
