Inmate Phone System Benefits (continued)

Scalability
ITS has been designed with Advanced Technologies Group, Inc.'s unique inter-site communication technology to support many servers that can report their transactions, call recordings and control parameters to one or more central network centers. An institution can have one or many phone servers. A single phone server is configured to support as many as 240 inmate phones.

Live and Mandatory Monitoring
ITS provides features to assign varying priorities to called parties, inmates and locations. The combined risk level of a call sets its priority for monitoring. The priority also determines if a system should automatically switch a monitoring station to monitor a high priority call over another. Mandatory monitoring refers to the system's ability to call and 'patch-in' a remote monitor on a phone.

Digital Recording
Utilizing the concept of priorities, ITS can also monitor select or all calls to a standard file. Additionally, the system also captures key authenticity markers and can validate a call recording as original or modified.

Accurate Call and Dollar Accounting
ITS follows other Offender Management Suite (OMS) modules in its ability to accurately deliver auditable and trustable data for both call accounting and revenue management. Financial and transactional reports ensure easy reconciliation.

Links to Trust Fund and Commissary Systems
ITS works with other OMS systems directly out of the box. It is configurable to work with a departments' existing technology to manage money transfers from inmate funds or lockbox operations.

Language Specification
ITS allows inmates to specify English or Spanish for both parties in order to control the language for titles and prompts for all interaction with the system.

Inmate Phone System Security Highlights

Pre-authorized Phone Lists
The system only allows outgoing calls to a pre-approved list of phone numbers. The phone numbers are provided by the inmate and entered manually or using a bubble form scanning technology. The institutional staff authorize the phone numbers and may designate certain numbers for monitoring and recording.

Scrutiny Through Automation
The automated processing of monitoring and digital recording are controlled by pre-set priorities and actions set at the phone number, inmate, location or a combination of the three. The system can block calls based upon monitor availability and can even 'patch-in' a remote monitor on a cellular line.
